Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using reRoute ("the Service"), including the free in-browser QR generator and the public website, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

reRoute provides a QR code generation platform, dynamic shortlink management, and scan analytics. The free tier includes unlimited static QR code generation in-browser. Paid plans include dynamic links, scan analytics, team management, and additional features.

Free static QR codes encode content in the image itself. reRoute does not host those destinations after download, does not resolve scans for free static codes, and does not provide scan analytics for them. Dynamic links and scan analytics require a paid plan (or trial where offered) and a shortlink that routes through our infrastructure.

3. User Accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account. Some features of the Service, including the free static generator on public pages, may be used without an account; use without an account is still subject to these Terms and the Privacy Policy.

4. Acceptable Use

You may not use the Service to distribute malware, phishing links, or illegal content. You may not use the Service to send spam or engage in any activity that violates applicable laws. You may not abuse rate limits, attempt to disrupt the Service, or reverse engineer non-public parts of the platform except as allowed by law. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms and to block abusive use of public tools.

5. Subscriptions & Billing

Paid plans are billed monthly or annually as selected at the time of purchase. You may cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. No refunds are provided for partial billing periods unless required by law or expressly stated at purchase.

6. Intellectual Property

QR codes you generate using our free tool are yours. Content you upload (logos, images) remains your property. You grant reRoute a limited license to process uploaded content only as needed to provide the Service (for example, storing a logo on a saved dynamic QR in your workspace). The reRoute platform, branding, and technology are the intellectual property of reRoute.

7. Privacy

Our collection and use of information is described in the Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. That policy explains account data, dynamic scan analytics, free generator content handling, and third-party tools such as Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity on public pages.

8. Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. reRoute shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Without limiting the foregoing, reRoute is not responsible for destinations encoded in free static QR codes you create, print, or distribute, or for third-party services you link to.

9. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify registered users of material changes via email when practical. The "Last updated" date on this page will always reflect the current version. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
