A note on time zones: the calendar events this generator creates use floating local time — the event lands at the same wall-clock time in every attendee's calendar, whatever time zone their device is set to. For in-person events that is exactly what you want: doors at 7 pm means 7 pm at the venue. For a webinar or virtual event with attendees in several time zones, state the time zone explicitly in the description field so nobody shows up an hour off.

Multi-day conferences and festivals work too. Set the start date to the first day and the end date to the last, and calendar apps display the event as a continuous span across those days. For a conference with parallel tracks, many organizers instead print one QR code per session — on the room door or the printed schedule — so attendees build their own agenda one scan at a time. For an all-day event like a fair or a sale, set the start and end times to your opening hours; the entry then shows as a timed block in the attendee's day view.

One practical difference worth knowing before you print: iPhones recognize calendar QR codes natively — the camera app reads the embedded .ics event and offers to add it to Apple Calendar in one tap. On Android, handling varies by manufacturer and camera app; most modern devices open the event in Google Calendar, but some older camera apps display the raw text instead, and the attendee needs a QR scanner app that understands calendar data. If your audience is mixed, scan a test print with both platforms before the full run.
