reRoute vs Rebrandly

On price, Rebrandly Essentials is the nearest thing reRoute has to a peer: $8 a month billed annually against our $3.99, and neither of us meters destination edits. The differences that decide the purchase are the other meters — Essentials caps links and QR codes at 250 a month, includes no team seats, and does not publish its analytics retention. Every number below links to the source it came from.

The short version

If you want an established branded-links vendor and 250 links a month is comfortably more than you create, Rebrandly Essentials is a reasonable buy and cheaper than most of this market. The case for reRoute is what sits behind the similar sticker price: no meter on links or QR codes, five seats instead of none, analytics retention stated in writing instead of unpublished, and unlimited free static QR codes generated in your browser before you pay anything at all.

Fair questions

Is reRoute a drop-in replacement for Rebrandly?
For shortlinks, QR codes, scan analytics and device or country routing, yes — export your Rebrandly links to CSV and import them. Links on Rebrandly-hosted domains stay with Rebrandly, since no provider can transfer another provider's domain. A custom domain you own can be pointed at reRoute on the Enterprise plan.
Rebrandly is only $8 a month. Why switch for $4 less?
If $8 versus $3.99 were the whole difference, switching would be a matter of taste. The structural differences are the meters: Essentials caps you at 250 links and 250 QR codes a month and includes no team seats, and Rebrandly does not publish how long Essentials keeps analytics. reRoute Pro meters none of those and states its retention in writing.
What is Rebrandly genuinely better at?
Rebrandly has been in the branded-link business for years and is a recognised name with production traffic at real scale. If an established vendor matters more to you than the metering differences, that is a legitimate reason to choose them — the comparison table above gives you the numbers either way.
What happens to my links if reRoute disappears?
A fair question for any newer vendor. Two things reduce the risk: use your own domain on Enterprise, so the links are yours regardless of who runs the redirect, and export your links and scan history to CSV whenever you like — no support ticket needed.

Try it before you switch anything

The QR generator is free and needs no account. Make one, scan it, see how it feels. Import your Rebrandly CSV whenever you are ready.
